The first Phase

I've decided to start a blog about my FC build. I bought the car in the summer of 2005. I was looking for a turbo model, but they were all out of my budget. I was looking for something to rebuild over time, but not something that would need major work.
I found a guy in Temecula that was selling a 1990 Manual GTU. The bad: faded paint, blown rear hatch shocks, dings here and there, ripped driver seat and arm rest, sunroof couldn't open all the way, right turn signal wasn't working, wipers weren't working, ac barely worked, manual windows, and it was a GTU (normally aspirated, open diff).
The good: manual transmission, clean interior, mostly stock, both previous owners had records of everything done to the car, new head unit and speakers, power steering, power mirrors, and it was an S5 (upgraded exterior and interior, slightly more powerful engine compared to S4 models).
Some of the first modifications I did were install a Mazdatrix short throw shifter, HKS intake filter, Apex'i N1 single tip exhaust, Tein S-tech lowering springs. I then replaced the sunroof motor and the turn signal switch.
